Artist Statement:

We are all a “piece” of something and so my work comes together piece by piece in creating the whole. What I thought was a random look see through the windows of a stained glass shop netted me my first bag of stained glass scrap that quickly turned into a trio of small mosaic vases. I was hooked.

I love the three R’s associated with my work. I reinvent, refashion and recycle the discarded. It is with great joy that I bring new life to odd pieces that now hold visual appeal with stained glass, recycled mirror or china, tiles, buttons and/or paint. Many of my pieces are utilitarian in nature. 

I have participated in creating since I knew I could. I create because I don’t know anything else. I see beauty and possibility in all things. Working with mosaic is just the most recent medium of choice from a long list of compatible contenders. I love art. I love how artists express. I love how creating makes me feel connected to a Source that I know I’m a “piece” of.
