Consignment Artist Responsibilities

 

1.    Financial Commitment:

        a. Monthly fee of $25 due prior to the first month of membership and on the 25th of each subsequent month.

        b. Sign Strolling Village Artisans Consignment Contract.

        c. Consignment Artists pay 30% of all sales; marketability and quality of pieces will be regularly assessed by 

             SVA Board Members

         d. Strolling Village Artisans collects and pays all sales tax for shop and gallery sales.

         e. Strolling Village Artisans retains any credit card processing fees incurred during sale of consigned pieces.

 

2.    Inventory:

       a. Responsible for keeping own inventory and providing a Consignment Artist Inventory Sheet to The Co-op   

          consistent with guidelines specifies in the Consignment Artist Contract.

       b. Responsible for delivery of pieces from the Consignment Artist to The Co-op and from The Co-op to the 

           Consignment Artist.

 

In addition to these responsibilities, Consignment Artists are:

 · Provided with a presence on the SVA website that includes a short personal and professional biography (i.e.  

        an artist statement), photographs representing displayed work, a personal photograph, and a link to the 

        Consignment Artists website.

· Invited to attend First Friday celebrations

· Invited to attend special events at The Co-op
